Autoimmune Diseases: Treatment Without Lifelong Hormones and Cytostatics

Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune thyroiditis, systemic scleroderma, lupus, vasculitis, autoimmune hepatitis — in all of these, the immune system attacks the body's own organs. Our goal is to stop that attack using the gentlest means possible.

Limitations of the conventional protocol

Conventional medicine mainly offers corticosteroids and cytostatics, and in recent years, more selective biologic drugs. These do stabilize the process, but they require ongoing use and carry side effects — from metabolic disturbances to increased susceptibility to infection.

What we offer

The clinic uses approaches of biological medicine, efferent therapy (including plasmapheresis) and individually tailored T-vaccines. The goal is to modulate the immune response so as to avoid, or significantly reduce, the constant use of hormones and cytostatics, providing a gentle and long-lasting effect.

The regenerative component also plays an important role: restoring tissues already damaged by the autoimmune process.

How to start treatment

The first step is an expert review: the doctor studies the medical history, current therapy and examination results (which can be done where you live). A treatment decision then follows; procedures take place at the clinic. Any reduction or discontinuation of baseline therapy is done gradually and only under medical supervision.

Questions & Answers

Can I abruptly stop my hormones and switch to your treatment?
No, and we never do this. Stopping baseline therapy on your own is dangerous. Dose reduction is gradual, as the process stabilizes, and always under your treating physician's supervision.
What is an individual T-vaccine?
It is a personalized immunological preparation designed to "reset" the parts of the immune system involved in attacking the body's own tissues. Its applicability is determined after immunological testing.
Does treatment work for long-standing disease?
Yes, though the achievable degree of improvement depends on how much organ damage has already occurred. You will get an honest assessment of the prospects at the expert-review stage — before treatment begins.
Are there contraindications?
Yes: malignant processes, transplanted organs, epilepsy and several other conditions. That's why the program is always preceded by a thorough work-up; about 25–30% of applicants are declined if we cannot help them safely.
